Three-Stage AI Pipeline. All On Device.
Sentinel Pro runs a layered AI pipeline locally — event detection at the edge, feature extraction on a dedicated coprocessor, and per-circuit specialized classification. The result: Sense-class disaggregation without Sense's cloud dependency.
Event Detection
Primary MCU samples every channel at 32 kHz continuously. Wavelet transform watches for appliance on/off events. Triggers downstream processing only when something actually changed. Most of the time this is all that runs — saves 99% of compute.
Feature Extraction
On detected event, coprocessor extracts 64-dimensional feature vector: FFT harmonics 1-13, inrush characteristics, steady-state power factor, waveform signatures. 8 milliseconds.
Classification
Per-circuit specialized neural network (INT8 quantized TensorFlow Lite Micro) matches the feature vector against known appliance signatures for that specific circuit. 25 milliseconds. 180 KB model per circuit.
State Tracking
Hidden Markov Model tracks each appliance's on/off state across time. Catches missed events, anomalous cycle patterns, and malfunction signatures. This is where fault detection lives.
