What does the 30% AEGIS Manufacturer Rebate actually cover?
It's a 30% reduction on the system price, applied at the point of sale, available in all U.S. service areas. The rebate applies to system equipment only — not to installation labor (which is quoted separately by your Sol-Ark installer). When you press the gold button on this page, AEGIS assumes the rebate on your behalf — you don't file paperwork for it.

How does installation actually get scheduled?
After you place your order, AEGIS connects you with a Sol-Ark certified installer in your zip code. The installer reaches out, does a site survey (often virtual), quotes you for the install labor, and schedules the work. You pay the installer for their services, AEGIS for the equipment. Two clean line items. No rep splitting commissions in the middle.
What's the warranty cover, and who handles claims?
AEGIS provides a 25-year manufacturer warranty on the battery system, with 80% capacity retention guaranteed at year 25. Sol-Ark provides their own inverter warranty. Workmanship is warranted by your installer. If anything goes wrong, you contact AEGIS for the battery side or Sol-Ark for the inverter side — both warranties are direct, no escalation through reps.
Can I add more storage later?
Yes. Every AEGIS Shield system is built from the ECHO 16 kWh module — you can add modules later. Each additional ECHO module is $3,175 of equipment plus your installer's labor for the add-on install. Module additions don't void the original warranty. We also have a retrofit program at $500/module if you have a legacy battery system you want to bring under AEGIS monitoring.
What if I already have solar?
Perfect. AEGIS Shield is designed to integrate with existing solar through the Sol-Ark hybrid inverter. The inverter handles AC coupling for legacy string inverters or DC coupling for new arrays. Your installer evaluates the existing system and chooses the best wiring approach during the site survey.
What's included with the monitoring?
Every system ships with the AEGIS Brain edge gateway and includes Year 1 of the Pro monitoring tier free ($18.50/mo value). After year one: Basic ($10/mo, email alerts), Pro ($18.50/mo, +SMS), Premium ($55.25/mo, +diagnostics + ML), or Commercial ($99/mo, +24/7 dispatch). You can change tiers anytime — no contracts.
How long does an outage last on each system?
Depends on what you're running. For a typical 28 kWh/day home: Shield 3.0 (48 kWh) covers 4–7 days of essential loads. Shield 3.0 EV Tower or 5.0 HV (96 kWh) covers 8–14 days. Shield 6.0 Commercial EV (144 kWh) covers 13–21 days — Helene-scale event range. Cold weather and active EV charging cut these numbers roughly in half.
What if my home's panel can't handle a Shield?
Your Sol-Ark installer evaluates your panel during the site survey. Most homes don't need a panel upgrade for Shield 3.0. Larger systems (3.0 EV Tower, 5.0 HV, 6.0 Commercial EV) may require a service upgrade or a critical-loads sub-panel — the installer will quote that work alongside the install if needed. We don't bury this in fine print.
Are there financing options?
Yes. AEGIS partners with multiple solar + storage lenders. Typical terms: 10–25 year loans, 6.99%–9.99% APR. Loan payments are often less than the customer's current utility bill. Apply through your installer or contact AEGIS directly for finance partner referrals.
